RONNIQUE is the Executive Director of Learn My History, and is a film producer and entertainer who uses personal experience as inspiration for upcoming programs, movies and organizational projects. As a young woman, Ms. Hawkins longed for inclusive historical education. Despite this, she began painting historical figures and helped address this challenge.  She continued her quest through the Arts, singing with artists of various genres and is featured on music productions including the 2006 James Brown Tribute Album dedicated to the beloved icon. She studied acting from top New York schools and appeared on various television shows. Modeling in the fashion world crossed over to activism and global awareness for Breast and Prostate Cancer. As such, she has been involved with and received personal letters of support from the Emmy winning Executive Director of the NY Martin Luther King Center for Nonviolence. She's participated in programs with local radio stations, The United Nations, The National Voting Rights Museum in Selma Alabama, and spoken at various venues.

In 2003, Ronnique was requested to assist with the production of a work in progress film: “The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Till” on 1955 case of the 14 year-old child. This case garnered global awareness and Ms. Hawkins considers accompanying late pioneer journalist Ed Bradley, the CBS film crew and supportive families to Mississippi. In 2005, this film which she serves as a producer was Emmy nominated. President Joe Biden signed the Emmett Till Antilynching Act and Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley National Monument.

In 2003, she founded two charitable non-profit 501(c)(3)s, and recognizing the need for Multicultural Youth Empowerment through intergenerational mentoring, she now focuses on her beloved 'Learn My History' non-profit. By design, this intergenerational program transfers knowledge, toward a greater appreciation while encouraging youth to be leaders not statistics. Its benefit of self esteem for youth is publicized from them in YouTube videos. Ronnique is the producer of a 30-minute educational piece called Learn My History…From the Past to the Present, which includes unreleased words and footage from the families of Till and other Historical families, multicultural activists, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame musicians, teachers, authors, and more. As Creative Directors she writes and Produces LMH programs. 'Create With Ro', the 1st program is successfully achieving goals of the mission statement and going into its 4th season.

Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022, Ronnique didn't waste time with launching her second youth program while still recovering, called 'The LMH Children's Network.'

It's rare that both programs benefit 'at risk' to privileged youth within 1 organization.

Graduates of both programs wish to stay involved, to h
elp strengthen and grow LMH, and advise our Board on production, marketing, how their different languages inspire cultural appreciation, perform or co-produce events with our production team (Program 3's upcoming LMH Youth Zone), and best of all, they'll graduate after serving for 1-year and are excited to place this experience on their résumés!
