LMH helps to  Instill or refine confidence, Connecting youth To Their Family History and giving them a chance to appreciate other's.
Qualifying YOuth can register for our 'LMH Youth Advisory Board', which lets them voice their opinions on the elevation of LMH. after graduation, our youth are excited to place this experience on their résumés.

LMH 'Create with Ro' Mission STATEMENT - “Our youth genealogy program transforms curiosity into confidence, silence into storytelling, and disconnection into deep, lasting roots. Our students gain pride in their heritage, build stronger bonds with elders, and develop the skills and self-understanding needed to thrive in their communities and beyond.”

So get ready for a program that empowers students to unleash their creativity, celebrate their identity, and bring their personal stories to life! Students dive into an exciting mix of art, genealogy, and STEAM to create their own vibrant history book—packed with meaning, personality, and pride. For students who may not know their cultural background, Create with Ro transforms that challenge into a source of empowerment. They get to design a book that honors the people, moments, and communities that truly feel like family.
The result is a bold, beautiful, coffee-table–worthy masterpiece they’ll proudly show off, continue to build upon, and treasure for years to come. Participants say this experience is more than a project—it's an unforgettable opportunity to share their journey with creativity, confidence, and genuine self-expression!
 CWR helps to solve - the loss of identity and self esteem that youth seem to lose more of annually. Youth have shared that these lacks can lead to self- doubt, lower confidence, increased thoughts of suicide, confusion, depression, low grades, or a life of regrets. By design, narrating their projects helps with brain development through articulation by thinking more. Focus, self-control, camera-awareness and flexibility (known as 'executive function' and 'self-regulation' skills), are increased through this program. 

'Create with Ro' - PURPOSE - Families share the amazing benefits after creating their historical meal, craft, or other projects, which is a direct reflection of their culture. In measuring our success, youth have credited better grades to this program, after learning about their culture, background, showing their understanding of their history and uniqueness, and becoming familiar with their personal history (Maggie Wood, Season 1), encouraging their present life and future inspirations to be becoming a better person (Peyton Season 3), highly recommend this program to others, enjoyed learning and appreciating other cultures (Kofi Season 3), and want to participate in our other programs. 
Children also…
1. Meet members of the community who share their culture and learn from them what is unique and special about where they came from.
2. Share this cultural activity with others through videos and venues like our annual banquets.

Season 1 ~ Introducing Maggie, Camden & Ronnique (Ro) who introduce their historical creations. They share why they chose them and the impact that these projects had on their current lives and future inspirations. Plus meet 'Little Ro' our 1st animated character with a HUGE meaning! The group answers questions by design, measure the program's success and offers words of wisdom for Ro and the Board of Directors. The Premier Episode honors LMH New York, Episode 1, expands on the projects, Episode 2 introduces Merrick to his amazing mentor Jerel McCants Architecture! In Episode 3, celebrates the memory of great African Americans, plus our 1st Sweet Ro'veal of completed historical creations. Little Ro and Ro talk about the kids encouraging Ro to paint again, which is a thread that runs among ALL Seasons. Ro then presents the LMH youth with self portraits of them after not painting in 10 years!

 ​Season 2  ~ Here Comes AMAZING Growth!
With a beautiful yet rare cultural inclusion, meet Camille, Lailah, Israel, Isaiah, Gus and Chananya. These new LMH Youth share their historical projects and as always measure the success of this program. Episode 1 - The historical projects get underway. Episode 2 introduces our 'Youth Advisory Board' established in 2020, we Sweet Ro'Veal our projects and Ro's art gifts for the LKMH Youth. Season 2 wraps with Episode 3, as youth share the inspiration that this 'Create with Ro'  has on their lives and future goals. PLUS our FIRST parent shares the effect of our program on her entire family, stay tuned for Season 3!

 Season 3 ~ Pops off in a HUGE way with youth & families from 11 countries! 
'Little Ro' is back on the scene as Episode 1 - Youth introduce art & 'Cultural Cuisine', as our mission of self confidence continues with passing traditions through generations. Episode 2 - Projects begin & youth encouraged Ro to share her personal journey with breast cancer. Episode 3 -  is packed! Projects are completed, they 'Sweet Ro'Veal' them, and thank Coach Rod of Amp Athletics during Ro's recovery. Plus, see their unique gifts for participants.  Episode 4 - LMH's 1st 'family testimonials takeover' that measures our success! Season 5 ~ The Classroom Edition!
Episode 1 -  For the FIRST time, we're featuring hosts by Shamari, Nyomii and Jah'Bari!
Our youth creations are shown within this and all of our series, to instill confidence and show the importance of youth knowing who they are and what they can be. While youth have varying advantages, we're a caring place in either program, from the most to least advantaged youth. 'Create with Ro's participants grow closer to their family culture and the families share how they all benefitted from this program.
